“Great week! Great Camp! Great pond! Thanks for restoring this house and
making it available to people. We thoroughly enjoyed a “quiet” pond in the Adirondacks;
never let the big boats come to Osgood Pond. Thanks very much for an enjoyable week!”
“What a beautiful, quiet pond! Nice to know there are still places like
this – no motors zooming by!! We wish everyone else as nice a time as we had.”
“Great place for a family vacation. The peace and quiet was the best part.
We did see the eagles on our first day in. How exciting!! First time ever to see a loon.
The sound they make is haunting but most relaxing……Thanks for having us.”
“What a wonderful week! The binder you provide with information and local
attractions was invaluable. The cabin and lake were perfect. The attention given the
cabin made us feel as if it was prepared just for us! And the lake (pond?) provided us
not just swimming and star-gazing but even a meal for one day. Thank you, Angela!”
“We had a fantastic vacation with plenty of physical activity (hiking and
kayaking) and the comfort of Barkeater made our return each day that more pleasurable.
May all who stay at Camp Barkeater (Adirondack) enjoy themselves as much as we did. Thank
you, Angela, for making us feel like family.”
“The accommodations here are the best we’ve ever had at a lake house. The
house is decorated so beautifully. We couldn’t ask for a better place for our family
vacation.”
“Camp Barkeater is better than expected – clean, comfortable, good books,
great artwork and outstanding attention to details. We’ve had a full week here exploring
Osgood River, climbing St. Regis Mtn. and biking to various places. Today we saw a moose
at Grass Pond! Thank you very much for making your cottage available. We hope to return
again.”
“The cabin is wonderful. We feel like guests in someone’s home; not just
a place to stay. We also lit a fire in the fireplace almost every night. That was what
made it so “warm” and welcoming to us. By the way, there’s a rice cooker in the kitchen,
which I really appreciated using.”
What a wonderful, magical place to spend a week. Memories that will last
as long as I last (unless I go “loony”).
