Camp Barkeater on Osgood Pond is a tranquil lakeside retreat

The feeling of the camp is airy and open. The lake view can be enjoyed while eating breakfast on the screened porch or preparing meals in a cathedral-ceilinged and fully-equipped kitchen.

Have an afternoon picnic by the lake and relax and read in oversized Adirondack chairs near the water’s edge. At night, with a fire burning in the cobblestone fireplace, listen to the loons calling and enjoy a wide selection of books before retiring in a Queen-size  antique brass bed.

Bed linens, bath towels and dish towels are provided. Microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, stove/oven, full-size refrigerator, bathtub/shower. "Monitor" heater for cool mornings.  Telephone for your convenience. VCR for movies (no TV service), CD/cassette player, FM stereo. Lake water for showering/dishes only. Ten gallon starter supply of drinking water provided.  A 17 ft. Dagger Royalex canoe and a 16 ft. Old Town "Carleton" fiberglass canoe are provided.  Free high-speed Internet access at Paul Smiths College Library one mile away.
